Health and Safety

We have created a company culture with a strong awareness and respect for the health and safety of any individual coming into contact with our activities. We have a strict Environmental policy to which all employees subscribe.

We place Safety and the Environment at the forefront of our operations and recognise the need for constant vigilance and implementation of safe working policy and employee education.

Every employee is encouraged to adopt a pro-active approach to Health, Safety and the Environment. Regular training schemes and refresher courses are organised and encompass every aspect, including appropriate selection and use of plant or equipment, operating safe systems of work, the delivery and installation of materials and fabricated items, and the control and disposal of waste.

In addition to risk assessments being carried out for each project, an in-depth method statement is explained to every operative to ensure they are fully conversant with the safe method of works and strict control systems for the project to which they have been assigned.

Longworth holds the latest CHAS accreditation as well as ISO 9001 and is a member of MRCA, FTMRC and NFRC. Longworth has also been awarded Investors in People status, attaining the highest possible score.
